You would not believe how many times I stated
these words when I was younger: “When I get older, I will be good.” I do not know why but Young Trellie always
believe that being an adult meant things would go better. That was such a broad and wrong accusation 🤣. In fact, when I got older, things really got more complicated lol. The idea that growing up would fix everything
was so crazy, but I actually believed it lol.
Childhood issues or problems (some, not all) were minimal compared to
the things we face as adults lol. Also,
the concept of waiting for something before you can do anything is a theory I
cannot get with anymore. The thought that
I must wait on this “level up” in order to be happy just is a bunch of bologna.
Why wait to do something if I have the tools and desire to do it now? I once found myself in this type of hole
whenever I was studying for my engineering exam. For some reason, I felt like certain things
could not be done until it was completed. It took me a while, but I did get
over that mindset. Also, eventually I got over that hurdle (test) too. Nowadays, I go with the flow. This whole
concept of getting everything perfect before doing something will keep you stuck
forever. If that was the case, my blog
would still be a thought lol. I had to
put perfection aside and just go with what I had. Sometimes, if we just start it then the rest
will reveal itself. So Young Trellie you
were wrong, I will not be alright when I grow up; but, you know what? That is
okay! I am learning and continuing to
grow in this thing called adulthood. Oh
yeah, did I mention, I HATE IT HERE!
FYI: See picture above for me patiently waiting for this perfect life Young Trellie envisioned!! 🤣🤣
