It's Never Too Late!!

Young Trellie always thought anything past counting my fingers & toes (20) was old 🙈. To a child someone 30 years of age is ancient ðŸ‘´ðŸ‘µ lol. Even when I would use my imagination, I had all these ideas of success and luxurious lifestyle in my 20’s lol. However, once I made it to my 30’s I realized two things: 1) 30 and I REPEAT 30 it is not old at all lol and 2) it is okay to still not have it “together”. Since the pandemic, I have been doing a lot of researching 📚 and during my reading I have learned that no one ever had it all figured out.  It is okay to do something for years and then pick up something new in your 30’s.  I find myself looking around at my peers and they are in this exact situation.  I, myself, started something new after I hit 30 and it has been fun for me lol.  I feel like it is too much pressure these days that you should have your act together.  In fact, it is okay if you do not.  I have seen people decide to go back to school in their 30’s.  I have seen people start a business they always wanted.  I have seen people reach for their dreams.  30’s does not have to mean stick with what you know. It can mean take that first step of your greatest adventure. This week for adulthood; I am hating FEAR 😨😱.  Do not be afraid to start something new no matter your age!!

Friends! How Many of Us Have Them?

What is a friend? If you would have asked me in elementary, it is someone who buys you a gift on your birthday lol. How many friends do you have? Again, young Trellie would say the more the merrier lol.  As a child, in my head everyone I would interact with was considered a friend. The requirements of friendship are very minimum to a kid lol. Some would say that the best friends have known each other the longest.  That may or may not always be the case though lol. The older I get, the more I realize that time does not determine a friendship; it is the experiences that you encounter with one another.  Gifts are nice but in adulthood, friendships are more emotionally connected.  I am fortunate to have a best friend since I have been walking lol.  I also have high school friends (Petty Crew) & college friends (FamBam) that may not have the tenured as my “road dawg” but they hold equal status in my life.  Friends in adulthood gift by uplifting each other and celebrating great times together. They are also in your corner when unexpected events happen. A true friendship can go some time without talking (due to busy adulthood schedules 🙄) but it is like nothing every skipped a beat whenever you talk.  Friends are one of the bright spots of adulthood lol.  You get to experience life events with your crew. Depending on how long the friendship is, you get to watch him/her grow into their own. If you would have told me 10-15 years ago that the crew, I hung out with would grow up to be successful; I would probably laugh lol.  Nonetheless, my friends are killing it and as the song says they are definitely “Ones I can depend on…”. One experience that I will always cherish is my wedding night!  It was the one time where all my friends from every phase of my life were together in one place and the energy was crazy lol!! I want to repeat that event!! So, even though I do hate it here in adulthood; I am grateful I have my friends to make the experience better lol.

Who Wants Superpowers?

First off, Happy New Year to everyone!  I know it has been a while! Did you miss me? No, okay then 🙂 lol.  Secondly, I need to give thanks...
