Christmas, December 25th, X-Mas, or
whatever you called it, was the highlight of my childhood (besides
birthdays). First off, I was out of
school. Secondly, I got to see family
and eat good food. However, the most important thing was that I got GIFTS🎁 on
top of GIFTS🎁. No matter how bad I was,
somehow I was never on Santa’s Naughty List.
To this day, I do not know how that happened because a few years I was
terrible 🤣. Major shout out to the parents
for making sure my childhood was not ruined. However, I thought that gifts would get better as you
got older though. You know a toy car at
age 8, means a real car at age 18 lol.
Nope, that is not how it goes. In
fact, the older I got the more I dreaded Christmas👎. I went from being oblivious to what is going
on; to being responsible for making sure the generation behind me can enjoy the
day. Do you know how hard it is to shop
for over 18 people? FYI, the 18 includes: Wifey, Big Red (mom) & Pops, 4
Siblings, and too many nieces & nephews to count. It sucks!! I am not
going to completely bag on Christmas though. Because no matter how old I get, it will
still have two things I am grateful for: Family & 24 Hours of “The
Christmas Story”!!!
Other than that, I
HATE IT HERE!!!
